JPAS and Sandi Roads Productions Present HOT FLASHES!

The Jefferson Performing Arts Society (JPAS) and Sandi Roads Productions proudly present HOT FLASHES, A Comedy by Dori Appel and Carolyn Myers on stage November 13-29, 2009 at Teatro Wego! Theatre, 177 Sala Avenue in Westwego. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30PM and Sundays at 2PM. Directed by Dane Rhodes, this laugh-out-loud comedy stars Becky Allen, Sandy Bravender, Claire Conti, Karen Hebert and Mary Burns.

After pleasing crowds at Muriel's Cabaret Theatre at LePetit Theatre in 2007 and 2008, this comedy of menopausal proportions struts its stuff at Teatro Wego! in Westwego this November!  The girls of the Tuesday Afternoon Club are descending on Teatro Wego! Theatre to solve the world's problems, complain about the injustices of getting older and to raise a glass to the joys of womanhood. Take a comical glimpse of the conversations, antics and out-of-sequence thought processes of the mature woman in  HOT FLASHES. Get ready for an outrageous evening, highlighted by an outrageous cast! Director Dane Rhodes brings together the divas of the New Orleans stage - Becky Allen, Sandy Bravender, Mary Burns, Karen Hebert and Claire Conti - in this ribald, raunchy comedic production. Come join them for a hilarious time!

Director and actor Dane Rhodes, having just recently starred in the acclaimed regional premiere production of the comedy VIAGARA FALLS, returns to JPAS once again this season to direct HOT FLASHES. A well known figure in the New Orleans theater community, Rhodes' other recent work includes starring as Oscar in Sandi Roads Production of OSCAR AND FELIX and directing CAMELOT! at Rivertown Rep.

All the leading ladies in HOT FLASHES have appeared on numerous stages throughout the city in innumerable productions and roles. They combine their comedic prowess and powers in this zany production!
